Kick started by Padmashri Mammootty, the co-founder and goodwill ambassador of the
campaign, he set the ball rolling with posting photos of himself planting a sapling and
challenging Bollywood’s King Khan Shah Rukh and Tollywood’s Vijay and Surya to do the
same. The campaign gained momentum when the stars accepted his challenge, and as they
say, the rest is history
This campaign on eco-revolution saw umpteen numbers of celebrities join the bandwagon to
promote the cause among the public, including over 25 celebrities from the Malayalam
Film Industry. Various institutions, organizations, colleges and the common public
across the length and breadth of India joined the campaign. More so, the challenge even
travelled overseas, with being carried out in Australia, UK and Philippines, to name a
few
With a total of over 1.8 lakh saplings being planted, the campaign grew from being just a
motto to sparking a movement. A movement to inspire our generation, to enrich and
enhance our environment for the greater good of humanity
